MESSAGE TO 160 STUDENTS
You guys rock! I really enjoyed reading your responses to the candidates' videos, and I'm even more impressed at how some of you dedicated such passion to the assignment.
I have had a LOT of homework this weekend, with getting grades in and planning next week's lessons (I've got some fun surprises for you). Therefore, I haven't had time to respond with written feedback to each of your blogs individually. On the other hand, I have recorded grades for you, and I will inform you of your grade this week.
Finally, I challenge you ALL to come to class on time all week. If we can succeed at everyone coming on time everyday this week, then I think we'll all deserve another field trip next week. Encourage each other. ; )

Listening Mid-Term Assignment
Listening Mid-term Assignment
I have included below 6 videos highlighting the 2008 Presidential candidates we discussed and researched in class. You will need to watch all of the videos and take notes. After watching, write a response indicating which candidates you liked and which ones you disliked based on what is featured in these videos. It is imperative that you use information from messages in the videos to express ideas about the candidate that did or did not appeal to you.
You will need to include a response to all the videos; however, it is acceptable if some of your comments about one candidate are more detailed than a response about another. You may comment on the candidate's policies as well as his/her presence and likability. Simply saying that you do not like a candidate is not acceptable. Explain why.
Responses are to be completed and posted no later than this Thursday, October 18th at 5pm. No late work will be accepted.
